Our Mission
Our mission is to educate and empower the community by closing the natural hair care knowledge gap. Through accessible resources, meaningful support, and advocacy for hair equity, we promote self-acceptance and cultural pride while improving access to education and tools.
As a natural hair nonprofit, we are committed to helping individuals feel seen, informed, and confident in their natural beauty. We work to dismantle the barriers that prevent people—especially Black girls and women—from embracing their hair with pride and understanding. By prioritizing education, we lay the groundwork for lasting change across generations.
We envision a world where all individuals confidently embrace their natural hair, empowered by knowledge, access to resources, and a supportive community. In this future, hair equity is a reality, natural hair is celebrated, and cultural pride and self-acceptance are woven into the fabric of society — free from bias, stigma, or discrimination.

Why This Matters
For many Black children, their first encounter with discrimination comes not through harsh words, but through quiet moments — a classmate’s comment about their coils, a salon turning them away, or the unspoken pressure to conform. These moments shape how they see themselves.
Natural hair isn't just a style — it's cultural identity, history, and heritage. Yet too often, our hair is misunderstood, underrepresented, or outright policed. A lack of access to proper care, education, and affirming spaces leaves too many families without the tools or support they need. The result? Young people questioning their beauty before they've even had a chance to define it.
That’s why Aria’s Hair Love Society exists — to shift the narrative. Because when we uplift natural hair, we uplift the people who wear it.
How We Create Change
Aria’s Hair Love Society leads with love, community, and culture. We offer hands-on workshops, pop-ups, mentorship, and training sessions that center natural hair care as both a skill and a form of self-affirmation. Our events welcome all ages and are designed to be intergenerational, joyful, and healing.
We train beauty professionals to confidently work with all textures, ensuring salons become safer, more inclusive spaces. We provide parents, schools, and caregivers with tools and guidance that affirm natural hair from a young age. And we partner with community leaders to push forward hair equity policies and access.
This isn’t just about styling — it’s about shifting systems and narratives. Through grassroots efforts and intentional partnerships, we are building a future where natural hair is not only accepted, but celebrated everywhere.
About Aria's Hair Society
What started as Brittany Rodriquez braiding hair at age 12 to quiet the teasing has evolved into a mission-driven organization transforming how we see and support natural beauty. We believe natural hair is more than a style — it’s a statement of identity, pride, and resilience.
With over 20 years behind the chair, a bachelor’s degree in business, and a deep passion for empowering others, Brittany founded Aria’s Hair Love Society to close the natural hair knowledge gap and uplift the community she’s long served. Rooted in her lived experience of hustle, healing, and transformation, AHLS is more than a nonprofit — it’s a movement.
Through hands-on workshops, mentorship, education, and cultural advocacy, we equip beauty professionals, families, and youth with the tools and confidence to care for and celebrate natural hair.
Let your crown be seen, celebrated, and understood.
